| | Ran down to Liberty Park and went the long way around until we got to the drinking fountain. There we grabbed a quick drink and jogged over to the sidewalk next to the Tracy Aviary, where someone has marked out 400 meters in 100 meter increments. We did 1 mile of 100 hard 100 easy. Then we jogged to the mile start which is the opposite side of the Aviary and did 2x800 with 800m recovery after the first one. I went 2:15 for the first and then 2:08 for the second. I really worked on both and it felt good to run a fast time. Then we jogged the long way around the park, going past the drinking fountain again, and then back to the school. We were at 8.5 when we got to the track but I went for ten to make the week easier.
Good start to the week! Felt strong during the entire run even if I was cold. I'm really glad that I went to 10 because if I had not I would have regretted it later in the week. Got the ACT tomorrow so that will be a blast!

| | Went to Steiner for my run because it was cold and the roads were slushing. Did 10 miles right around 7 minute pace but the last 4 were closer to 6:30. My foot hurt for the first mile then warmed up and felt fine. Glad that I got my run in because it will make the week better.

| | Had a time trial today! We only ran 3 different events (the 100,300, and 800) and I ended up doing the 800 and the 300. I ran 2:03 in the 800, which I thought was pretty good especially because I was working by myself. I don't know what my 300 time was. After the time trial Bill, Sarah, Chris, Diwas, and I went for an 8 miler and at the end of that we did 6 burnouts. A burnout is where you go 100 hard then jog 100 back then another 100 hard. It was a really good workout.

| | Ran a half mile warmup with the team. Then we did 4 laps and jogged down to the asphalt hill. We did 8 hill strides then went and got our stuff and put it in the car before we left. We ran up to Foothill Ave. then down by the VA Hospital until we got to the cemetery. Ran 2 laps in the Cemetery then back to the school on 13th. Then we ran to the track and I did 12 burnouts and then another mile. Foot did not hurt at all today!

| | Ran along Wasatch towards Parleys. Then when I got to the Parley Canyon Bridges I turned around and ran on Foothill until 13th. Ran down 13th until 15th then across 15th to 9th then up 9th to my house. Added to 10 then did strides until I got 11.

Speed today! Got two miles warmup and then 4 laps speed changes before changing shoes. Then did 1 lap to loosen up.
The workout was 5x1000 with 800 recovery in between and then about 1 minute of standing recovery. I went 2:52, 2:57, 2:58, 2:57, 2:54. My goal for this workout was to have everyone be under 3:00. It was a rough workout! I started right around 2 so it was hot and I was by myself. On the last one with 300 to go I had to say to myself "if you don't break 3 you have to do another one". Really happy that I had such a good workout and a really great week! After I did 1 lap on the track and jogged home.
Another 2.5 miles later.
