Cedar City Invite (3 Miles) 00:14:20, Place overall: 1 | | Am: 3 miles before leaving!
Pm: Left for Cedar around 11:20 and arrived right before 4. Got 2.5 miles warmup with some strides and drills.
The start of the race was awful. It can super quick and I got boxed into for the first 50 meters. Broke out of that and just worked to put some distance between me and the pack. First mile was 4:42. Kept working and tried to open up as best as I could on the downhill. After the second lap I really dug deep and kept a good pace until I hit the track. Once I was on the track I started to work and I felt like I had a really good finish. Official time was 14:20!! Broke the course record by 28 seconds. Cooled down 1.5 on the track!

Region V (3 Miles) 00:14:43, Place overall: 2 | | Am: 3 miles.
Pm: 3 miles warmup. Great race, gave it all I had. Still struggling with my sore throat. Coach says there is no shame in losing by and 8th of a second. Time to move on and focus up for State.

| | Started at Puke Hill up Guardsmen Pass. Ran up and along the ridgeline and then dropped into the top of Millcreek. Ran on the road until Elbow Fork and then hopped on the trail until rattlesnake. Finished at the tollbooth. We had parked the car there earlier. Worst part was we had to add a half a mile at the end. Total time was 3 hours and 7 minutes.

| | Not much running today. I was interviewed for Prep of the Week so we ran a few laps and did a few easy striders but mostly took the day off.
