Race: Footlocker Nationals. (3.107 Miles) 00:15:14, Place overall: 4
Total Distance
9.00

Warmed up about 4 miles with some strides and drills. Felt pretty good.

Race started really fast, first 800 was 2:17. Drew Hunter pulled away after that and I was working with Rocha and Veatch. They gapped be a bit going down to hill the first time. After that I just focused on not letting Andrew Jordan or Paul Roberts pass me. Worked the hill decent the 2nd time around but it really is a monster. Didnt have a spectacular finish but I was really happy with the results. Ended up 4th overall! The last Utahn that was fourth was Ben Saarel and he ran a 15:13 and my time was 15:14. I was also happy I was able to mentally stay tough even though I wasn't in the front pack. At Nike when I fell of the leaders I fell hard. This time I stayed mentally tough and worked through.

Cooled down about 2.

It was a truly amazing end to my high school career.

You've got a great strength base with Cobler as inspiration. That base enabled you to compete well. You have a great many new horizons to achieve, but you are well deserving of basking of the glow of your accomplishments.
